In July, IQHYA Delegates Emma Schaefer, Curtis Johnson, Kendie Herlocker and Jolene Ebersole, along with youth advisor Jennifer Horton, attending the AQHYA Youth Excellence Seminar (YES) in Amarillo, Texas. It was a welcome trip after virtual YES in 2020.
In addition to the many leadership activities, the event also includes the AQHYA election of directors and officers each year. Emma Schaefer was re-elected to serve on the AQHYA Executive Committee for 2021-2022.
Iowa had a great time at the 2021 Youth World Championship Show, including the Level 1 Championships. Congratulations to everyone on the team who achieved a personal goal! We had several recognized in the arena:

Lily Thorpe: 4th place Level 1 Showmanship, 14-18 and Finalist Level 2 Showmanship with Blaze O Rama
Abbi Shumaker: Semi-finalist Level 2 Showmanship with Dark Investment
Alexis Rutledge: Finalist level 1 Western Riding 14-18 with VS Born To Be Good
Naomi Johnson: Finalist Ranch Trail with Docs Naughty Dotty

Kendie Herlocker: Finalist Level 3 Trail 14-18 with Memphis Bound
