The Iowa Quarter Horse Racing Association hosts Youth Days… Racing for the Future. Participants work with a race horse trainer and learn all about the business of horse racing while preparing their horse for the race that weekend. Scholarships are awarded. Mateer Strong, IQHYA Vice President Awards, earned a scholarship in 2015. Several former IQHYA members have earned scholarships through this unique and outstanding opportunity to learn about this great sport.
